Jake Mizel week 2 - where do you want to go to college?

As I get older, whenever I go to a family gathering, the first question that I am bombarded with constantly is: where do you want to go to college? Although I may have ideas of where I want to go at this point, I still have many problems with this question. The first (and biggest) of which being that I have been hearing it since freshman year. I just always felt as if it put a lot of pressure on me to have everything figured out at such a young age which can lead to a lot of stress. I hear so much about college and the future that I forget that I still have 2 whole years left of high school to finish.

Adults put so much pressure on teenagers by asking them all these questions about where they see themselves as adults that they forget to live in the moment and enjoy their teenage years. Every now and then I think it is good to just take a step back and realize how much time I actually have left. I understand that what comes next is important, and I am very excited to go off into college in a couple years, but I think it is also really important to remember that I still have a couple years and that I should enjoy what I have left of high school while I still can. What do you think about this question? how do you plan on managing the great shift from high school to college?
