Mia Garaz, Week 3, Party Hardy

What better way to have a good time, see all your friends, listen to your favorite music, and have the most fun of your life than to go to or throw a party? I absolutely love parties! I am a very social person and going out is one of my favorite things to do. Not just the actual get-together itself, but the preparation and excitement for it is what I look forward to. Doing hair, makeup, finding the perfect outfit; it all prefaces the night to come! Plus, I have a lot of different friend groups so the opportunity to see them all at once is perfect for me. Not to mention themes make the event ten times more amusing. The best of all is Halloween costume parties, that's where people really get creative.

However, not everyone likes parties. Some are more inclined to stay home with a friend or two, or maybe chill in bed by themselves. I myself am like this half the time, depending on my mood. I honestly don’t understand the people who are always up to be around others or people who constantly spend time alone. I feel like I am definitely more extroverted, but I still need time at home or to myself to recharge. Do you like it better to be with a big group of people, meet others, and try new things, or to be by yourself/with a small group of people, ones you are closest with, and keep to the things you know? Maybe you are a mix like me!  Also, why are those preferences, and do you think they'll change?

  1. I honestly completely agree with you about getting ready for a party. Maybe it is because I'm more introverted, but I am way more excited about picking an outfit than trying to start a conversation with someone I kind of know and pretending I like the music playing. Though when it comes to a group of my close friends, I get to enjoy all the good and avoid all the bad.

  2. Honestly, I feel like it depends on the day. Some days I am in a good mood and feel like going out while other days I would rather just lay down and give myself a day or two to recoup and feel more like myself. Lately, I do not have to much time to go out, meet new people, and have fun as I am trying to stay as productive as I can. However, I think it is important to try to find balance and have fun.
