 Josh Matheson - Week 1; A College Football Era Ended

     College football is finally back! Yesterday was an exciting day, since I was able to just sit back and watch football, there is nothing I would rather be doing.  However, what I have recently noticed is that a lot of teams are switching out of divisions and joining new ones.  The history and tradition of these conferences are going to waste.  For example, the Big 10 now has 18 teams, the Big 12 has 16 teams, the SEC has 16 teams, the ACC has 17 teams, and the PAC-12 only has 2 teams.  These moves are going to be put into play in 2024, so my advice to you is enjoy one last year of pure and authentic college football, and  don't take the rich history for granted.  College football is never going to be the same anymore, I mean to be honest I still will enjoy it, but it is never going to be the same.  My favorite thing about college football is the intensity of the games between divisional rivals, but now each team will have multiple big rivals since the conferences are so large.  Not to mention the whole PAC-12 is not going to be a conference anymore.  One of my favorite games in college football history was a divisional PAC-12 game.  It was a game in 2011, played between Stanford vs USC.  Yes, I may have been only 5 years old at the time, but I still can remember it like it was yesterday.  This game was a shootout between two amazing quarterbacks, and eventually Stanford running back Curtis McNeal fumbled the ball and Stanford had won.  At least I experienced some amazing memories of the PAC-12 and it will for sure be missed.  I hate to see all of the change and destruction of old traditions.  College football will never be the same.Colorado vs. TCU final score, highlights: Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter shine as Buffaloes score major upset in Coach Prime debut | Sporting News

    So excited for College Football to finally return. I do agree that all the new changes ruins the old traditions and will most likely take away from that same feeling college football gave before.

    I haven't actually listened to a lot of Noah Kahan songs, but I have listened to a lot of Hozier songs. I want to specifically discuss Hozier's new song, Northern Attitude, in heavy detail. It's not actually Hozier's song, but he is featured in it. It's a song by Noah Kahan, who you might know from his recently popular song, Stick Season. Josh Matheson - Week 9; First AP Lang Essay

Last week, we had our first in class timed essay and let's just say it did not go according to plan.  Going into the first essay, I was focused on completing the essay within the 40 minutes and have a great thesis, that can be backed up with enough evidence.  The essay was both a success and a fail, as I finished in time which was one of my concerns, but I did not get specific enough and tie enough evidence back to my thesis.  I realized that even though I had the evidence the most important thing to explain is why the speaker uses that choice.  This generally is what destroyed me because I had the evidence, but did not get specific enough and just left everything vague.  Fortunately,  I am confident that next time will be better,  since this is my first AP essay and the best way to improve is through practice and experiences.  On this essay, I received a 2.5, which is not too good of a score, but at least I will have the revision in order to fix ...

Mia Garaz, Week 9, Nothing To Watch!

With the various amounts of streaming services, such as YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Max, and more, you would think the possibilities of films to watch are endless! However, lately, this has not been the case. I find myself scrolling for hours, and still, nothing catches my eye. Possibly, this is due to the algorithm. It may not be calculating as well as it should. Though, I don’t feel this is the case. I think there is a major lack of TV series and movies to view across all platforms. Even when they do come out with new releases, they tend to lack substance or an interesting plot. What I have noticed a lot is that the creators and directors are trying to create “relatable” content. Still, it just ends up being cringey (and in my opinion, overly politically correct). With such curated/censored content it destroys the reality and relatability that they were trying to achieve.
